Gorgeous venue in Somerset booked
After meeting up with a lovely couple at the end of last year and booking their wedding I was contacted by them just over a week ago as they had a change of plan. We arrange to meet up for a coffee and discuss the new plans. Originally they were due to marry in November 2018 in a lovely barn in Suffolk. The new date was in March 2019. The new venue. Crowcombe Court in Somerset. An absolutely stunning Victorian mansion originally built in 1739 amounts the beautiful Quantock Hills. Another long distance wedding I cannot wait for. For the Bride it is a welcome return to her hometown and the place where she grew up. During our meeting we all had a browse on the internet at images of the venue which is surrounded by stunning gardens, filled with history and character inside. And not forgetting to mention their amazing Undercroft where the reception will be held. I’m not sure who was more excited looking through the images. Me or the Bride and Groom-to-be.
I’m pretty sure all those roadworks and incidents marked out on my map planner will be gone by then. Possibly replaced by new ones, but as with all weddings that involve a long journey I will be travelling there the day before and staying over.
