During the upcoming months I will be offering some general wedding advice to help plan your big day. Everything from what do we do if it rains to when should we do the speeches.
Of course I would never tell anyone how they should plan their day but I can offer some great advice and tips. I often say if you was to take my cameras away I would be a man that watches a lot of weddings. I am also usually the only professional you would hire who is there from the bridal prep right through to the first dance. And to get the best results in my photography I like to observe and take in the atmosphere from the day to help be ready to capture the best reactions. This means I see how certain plans and timings often effect not just the bride and groom, but also the guests.
In all I want every wedding to run as smoothly as possible. This helps me capture the day more naturally. For many couples planning a wedding is something never done before. So I always advise people to listen to advice. Listen to ideas. Take them and if you like them mould them into your day if possible. Try not to let anyone force their ideas on you. Do not worry about offending anyone for not using their idea or taking their advice. It is your special day and the most important thing is to make sure you do everything you can to make sure it is the happiest day of your life.
All the very best for your big day,
Neil Baxter
